Need 'Food' Flashcards - 

Display flashcards and share with your child which food YOU like from the list in this lesson: bread, milk, cheese, chocolate, eggs.

“Wǒ xǐhuān ___________.” (I like_________.)

Encourage your child to share which food they like. (If they find it difficult to say the words in Mandarin, allow them to point to the picture/flashcard.)

Older Children (4 and older)
Encourage your child to repeat after you:
“Wǒ xǐhuān chī jīdàn.” (I like eggs.) 
“Wǒ xǐhuān chī miànbāo.” (I like bread.)
“Wǒ xǐhuān hē niúnǎi.” (I like milk.) 
“Wǒ xǐhuān chī qiǎokèlì” (I like chocolate.) 
“Wǒ xǐhuān chī nǎilào” (I like cheese.)

Younger Children (under 4 years)
Your child can simply repeat the food name after you.
