Brain Benefits: Why a Childs First 6 Years Matter So Much!

Don’t Miss Out On Your Child's Learning Window

Can anyone learn a second or even a third language? Sure they can!

Is it tougher for some than others? Yup! Do you wanna guess which age group has the easiest time learning a new language?

All our little geniuses under the age of 6!

According to researchers, the first 6 years play a HUGE role in your child’s language learning journey.

They quite literally have an entirely different brain chemistry at that age.

As with everything else in the world, there’s a right time for learning a new language too – and if we don’t make full use of that opportunity right now, we might be unintentionally depriving our kids of a major benefit.

Just some reasons to start now:

  • Give them a head start in life
  • Boost cognitive development
  • Improve their social & cultural sensitivity

At such an early age, young brains are like little sponges. They’re super receptive to all sorts of new information – which means they’ll pick up new words and phrases quicker than you can say language learning!

Plus, unlike us, our kiddos aren’t afraid to mess up a little. I don’t know about you – but I definitely get hung up on my mistakes (guilty as charged). Kids, however, just skip the awkwardness and move right along.

Let’s face it, our children are a lot smarter than we give them credit for. They know that fumbling and tumbling is just a part of the process – and they don’t hesitate to get back up on their tiny little feet!

Still not convinced about starting early?

Our young kiddos are SO intelligent that they can distinguish between different languages from birth. Meaning you could teach them 2 or even 4 new languages before the age of 6 and they’ll have absolutely no trouble picking them up and telling the languages apart.

What's even cooler is that kids have this unique ability of learning new languages alongside their native tongue. Basically, if you start them early - you're almost guaranteeing native fluency and accents!

If you’re brave enough to take that first step right now and hop on to that train of bilingualism, your children are in for some INCREDIBLE perks.

For starters, learning a new language provides your children with the confidence boost of a LIFETIME.

Once they realize all the great things they’re capable of, it’ll open the door to countless new possibilities.

As your child begins to pick up new words every day, you’ll notice incredible changes in their cognitive abilities.

That means better memory, listening skills, attention span, you name it! They’ll grow up to be super duper creative – and don’t even get me started on how great their decision-making skills will be.

But wait, it gets even better.

Bilingual kids have another MAJOR advantage over monolingual kids. Colleges and employers are ALL about foreign languages these days – which means your little ones will have a greater chance of winning them over if they’re fluent in multiple languages.

Living in a globalized world means that it has become increasingly important for us to strengthen our communication skills.

By learning a new language, your children will begin to see the beauty in diversity and form meaningful connections with those who are different from them. Isn’t that incredible?

Okay, I know I keep going on and on – but can you blame me, mama? I just can’t help it! Languages are pretty much like superpowers if you think about it.

This doesn’t even scratch the surface of what’s achievable, really.

There’s a reason I’m THIS obsessed with language. I’ve seen what’s possible for my kids after taking that leap – and I encourage you to do the same.

Don’t miss out on this precious window of opportunity! Your kids can always learn a language when they’re older – but it won’t be as easy as it is right NOW. Trust me on this one.

Before the age of 6, their brains are oh-so ripe for learning. I mean – just think about it. They pick up all sorts of things on a daily basis – walking, talking, going to the potty, and more! So why not add learning a language to the list?
